The VCC VW-300 is a FPGA development boards, this new page contains some useful info and links to datasheets.

• 27/01/06 - New Publishing Info

After a gentoo update, my dvips config file got overwritten. With the next run of dvips, the file got sent to the printer rather than a file. This tip shows you how to make everything nice again.

• 16/01/06 - New Script

Finally got around to adding a script for recording internet audio streams to a file. A very handy script for creating a permanent recording of an internet broadcast.

Added a bit more on the Backups page about splitting large tar files for backing up to CD or DVD.

The computing section was getting a bit full, so I've moved a few bits around.

After having to hack together some init scripts for a licence server, I've added a few more useful bits to the Bash Tips page.

After a few problems using the eps to jpeg info on the graphics page, I've updated the info hopefully improving it's capabilities.

Added a new page to hold info for people writing papers. So far it's got some instructions for setting metadata (author, title, subject, etc...) in PDFs.

Added some instructions on getting a Matrox G550 working under Gentoo in xinerama dual head mode.

• 05/07/05 - Graphics Info

Added some info on converting PNGs to GIFs using The Gimp.

• 04/07/05 - BashTips and SSI Info

Started a couple of new sections on Bash scripting tips, and some info about SSI that I always forget.

• 04/07/05 - Site Update

Did a bit of a change around in the way the site works. Now a bit cleaner and easier to update.

• 11/08/04 - Vim Info

Added a sample .vimrc file containing some useful Vim configuration options.

• 20/06/04 - BioNode System

Finally added some real content. The BioNode project section now has some pictures and general information

Site goes live. No real content yet, just basic site info.
